Attending a live zoom meeting is a great way to maintain or deepen your meditation practice, whether you are just learning or are a long-term meditator. There are "regulars" for any given meeting time, but any student or graduate who comes is welcome. By attending a regular live meeting you will be part of a vibrant and active community of fellow students and graduates.
In order to participate in one of the monthly or weekly zoom meetings, you will need to be a member of the Palouse Mindfulness Community. As a precaution against zoom- bombers, the zoom link is not given here. Only graduates and students who are members of the Palouse Mindfulness Community are given the zoom link. Anyone graduating from the Palouse Mindfulness course automatically becomes a member of the community and students may join by following the instructions given in Joining the Palouse Mindfulness Community.
Our Zoom hosts are participant leaders who manage and organize the groups but are not acting as counselors or providing medical advice or therapy of any type. If you are needing medical or mental health guidance, please consult with a licensed medical or psychotherapeutic professional (see Health Considerations).Guidelines for sharing in meetings
[ simple, but important]
- Share from your own experience
- don’t try to “fix” or offer unsolicited advice. - Give everyone the opportunity to speak
- be mindful of how long you talk. - Allow a moment of silence (e.g., a breath or two) between speakers. This shows respect and allows time to digest what has just been shared.
- Everything shared is confidential
- what happens in “zoom” stays in “zoom”.
Next Large-Group Meeting
with Dave Potter on July 19
Three or four times a year, Dave hosts a live zoom meeting for students and graduates. It has a similar format to the weekly meetings, but includes break-out groups of 4-5 people as well as whole-group sharing/Q&A with Dave. The small-group meetings are friendly and almost always magical. You never know who is going to be in the group - it could include someone in a neighboring region or someone literally half-way around the world.
We will be meeting on Saturday, July 19 beginning at 11:00am US Pacific and ending 90 minutes later, using the same zoom link as the weekly sessions. For recordings of past large-group meetings, including the most recent one on May 10, see Large-Group Zoom Meetings.

The meetings below are specifically for Palouse Mindfulness students or graduates and the exact agenda differs from meeting to meeting and host to host.
