Cecilia Kinzie
As a child I felt a deep connection to the natural world. I started taking meditation classes when I was 14 and felt the same sense of peace when meditating that I did when I felt connected to nature. My meditation practice continued to deepen when I lost my mother at the age of 17. I used meditation as a way to soothe and nurture my broken heart. I discovered MBSR in middle age when my doctor recommended that I learn MBSR to help me reduce the stress of having a painful chronic biliary condition.
I have experienced the power of MBSR and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to bring comfort and hope into my life and I enjoy sharing these tools with others. I believe that love, kindness, and compassion can be healing and that in today's modern society we could all use some tender self-nurturing and care.
The intention for my Palouse sessions is for them to be a safe haven where people feel welcomed, accepted, safe to explore their inner terrain, connect with their hearts, and rest in the stillness and beauty of the present moment. Look forward to meeting you soon!
