FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Over the years, we've received many questions and/or concerns about the course. A few of the most common ones are given on this page. -
Joining the Palouse Mindfulness Community
Being a part of the Palouse Mindfulness Community enables you to participate in any of the Zoom Meditation and Discussion Meetings and/or to join the Palouse Mindfulness Facebook Group. Members are given the zoom link for the weekly zoom meetings and receive a monthly email newsletter from Palouse Mindfulness. -
Zoom Meditation & Discussion Meetings
Joining a regular meditation group is a great way to maintain or deepen your meditation practice, whether you are just learning or are a long-term meditator. There are "regulars" for any given meeting time, but any student or graduate who comes is welcome. By attending a regular live meeting you will be part of a vibrant and active community of fellow students and graduates. -
Palouse Mindfulness Facebook group
This private Facebook group is specifically for students and graduates of the Palouse Mindfulness MBSR course. Through this group, members can share experiences and/or ask questions, or simply stay on the sidelines and learn from others. -
Other Zoom Meditations
If none of the times from the Zoom Meditation & Discussion Meetings work for you, any of the meetings from this page, including the "Teacher talks", can substitute for one (but only one) of the six weekly formal practices assigned for any given "week". All these meetings are open to anyone and most are free. -
Crisis Hotlines
This page gives contact information for help lines. If things come up which are too difficult to handle, you should take a break from the course and seek the help of a good counselor or therapist (see If You React Strongly for guidance about whether to take a break or not). If you should need immediate help, dial 911 or 988.
