I can say that taking this online 8-week MBSR course has changed my life and my way of thinking. I had been struggling with depression and severe anxiety and fear for many years and I was looking for a different approach in how to come to term with this. And when I came upon this course I was just beginning to learn about mindfulness practice and wanted to delve further into it.
I can honestly say that within the first week or two I already started to feel different and see things in a completely new way. The most amazing realisation I had was that there was in fact another way to live and that I was not my thoughts, that thoughts were just thoughts, they were not ME. This already freed me of a lot of my anxieties and with the meditation and yoga practices I was able to create a little space between myself and my thoughts, I could never have imagined what an incredible awakening that would be.
The other wonderful thing was that for probably the first time in my life I learned how to be present in the now or want to be present in the now. I had always lived in the past or the future and had a very bad relationship with the present and this course made me see the beauty of each present moment and how everything is so much more beautiful and profound in the now without the constant anxiety of the past and the future, it truly was a rebirth.
I also valued greatly the discipline of doing the formal and informal practices daily and the readings and videos which were provided. I will most certainly continue to include these meditations into my everyday life and hope to go on to one day teach mindfulness and spread the word about this truly beautiful way to live to as many people as possible.
I can’t thank you enough for providing this online course for free, I hope you know how many people’s lives you change daily and how much hope you give by sharing your knowledge and your teachings. I am incredibly grateful for this course and thank you again for showing me and so many others an alternative way to live.
